History of Ideal Foods
At Ideal Food Products, we take pride in our rich heritage and dedication to delivering exceptional taste and quality to our customers. Founded in 1972 by Mr. G.G. Lokur, a visionary with a background in Food Technology, our journey began with a focus on manufacturing syrups. Over the years, we have grown into a well-known brand, trusted for our mouthwatering offerings.
Meet our Founder
Mr. G.G. Lokur
Mr. G.G. Lokur, the Managing Partner, is the driving force behind Ideal Food Products. His journey started with graduation from Karnataka University in 1958, followed by completing a Food Technology course from UDCT, Mumbai, in 1961. With extensive experience gained from leading food companies, such as M/S Sathe Biscuits & Chocolate Co Ltd, C.F.T.R.I Mysore, Dr. Writers Chocolate & Canning Co. Ltd, Power Cables Pvt Ltd Nadiad, and Tim Tom Food Products, Mr. Lokur embarked on the mission to establish his own unit in Belgaum.
Ideal Food Products was honoured with the National Productivity Council Award in 1992. The prestigious award was received by the Managing Partner, Shri. G.G. Lokur, at the hands of the then Honorable Vice President, Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma.
Early Challenges and Triumps
The journey of Ideal Food Products started humbly, in a small room at Goods Shed Road near the railway station. Mr. G.G. Lokur personally looked after all aspects of the business, from production and marketing to the procurement of raw materials.
Mr. Lokur’s unwavering commitment to quality and perseverance paid off. Despite the obstacles, he courageously continued to focus on delivering top-notch products, eventually capturing a significant market share.

The legacy of Ideal Food Products continues with Mr. Samir Lokur, son of Mr. G.G. Lokur. After completing his graduation, Mr. Samir Lokur joined the company and took keen interest in its day-to-day activities. His dedication and vision led to the expansion of production and a strong push to increase our market share further.
